Vemotion Interactive has announced its release of an updated version of its Polecam rapid deployment camera.
The Polecam provides users with wireless video surveillance with high-quality live video (even with low bandwidths).
The company states that the device is easily constructed due to its ‘plug and play’ set-up.
The purpose of Polecam
The camera provides HD quality video without having hard-wired infrastructure, which saves users on installation costs and time.
It can be used in any location and provides immediate surveillance due to its PC, mobile network, modem and antennae.
The camera can be used to capture surveillance from any areas like; crime hotspots, construction sites and traffic surveillance on highways.
Features of the Polecam
The camera has an onboard HD camera with 23x optimal zoom and full 360 degree PTZ with continuous rotation.
It transmits 2x full HD video streams, enabling the user to view two scenes at the same time. Users are able to view a specific area in the camera’s vision, whilst also accessing a wider view.
Another way the dual HD video streams can be used is that a live stream can be viewed at the same time as another stream is rewinding, pausing or viewing a scene from the past.
Another notable feature of the camera is that it can be transmitted by any mobile network or SIM card.
This allows user flexibility in choosing a SIM card that gets the best connection in their specific area.
In the event that data fails or there is poor reception, the Polecam’s on-board recording ensures high-quality video that is available for download when the network recovers.
The structure of the Polecam is made with aluminium housing which reduces wobbling and unsteadiness.
The camera can be added to previous CCTV systems through its 4G or 5G network transmissions.
