Fulcrum’s request for a review,
I ordered a UPEK Fingerprint swipe device from Fulcrum on Sept. 1st. 2011 through Amazon. Fulcrum charged me $9.49 shipping and it took until Sept. 7 to arrive. At that cost of the device and the inflated shipping charges, it should have arrived the next day. It only weighs 4oz. at best. Opening the box I find a letter that explains if you want to have software to use the device it costs $19.95 and we will sell same to you. Nowhere was it indicated when I ordered the device that additional software would not be included. Who buys anything hardware wise for a computer without software? I will eat the $48 as it is more time and trouble to return it than it is worth. Attempted discussions with Both UPEK and Fulcrum amounted to a bunch of excuses with no results or resolution to the issue about software. Look other places for your devices as these Companies don’t care about doing legitimate business. It is your money until you give it to these guys.

OVER ALL IT IS GREAT, EXCEPT ONE PROBLEM EVERY MONTH OR TWO I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE AND IT WONT WORK THANKFULY I BOUGHT A NEW WINDOWS 7 HOME COMPUTER BEFORE BUYING IT SO WHEN IT CAUSES MY COMPUTER TO FREEZE I MANUAL RESTART, UNPLUG THE DEVICE FROM THE COPUTER WAIT FOR THE COMPUTER TO GO BACK TO A SAVED WAYPOINT, WAIT AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING TO FINISH LOADING, AND THEN I PLUG THE DEVICE BACK INTO THE COMPUTER AND WINDOWS FINDS THE SOFTWARE FOR IT AND INSTALLS IT. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE PROGRAM IS NOT GETTING ALONG WITH ANOTHER PROGRAM I HAVE OR WHAT BUT IT IS ANOYING NOT TO MENTION TIME CONSUMING.
