Axis has begun delivering on its promise to provide FIPS 140-3 Level 3-compliant products under the Federal Information Processing Standards.
Security requirements for cryptographic modules, including The FIPS 140-3, ensures the confidentiality and integrity of data.

Levels of security and features
Axis states it is the first to launch a network security device with an embedded discrete element validated to the FIPS 140-3 Standard Level 3. Customers in government will have their security standard matched to that of the law’s requirements.
FIPS 140-3 certification assesses four levels of security. At Level 3, hardware is expected to prevent tampering and access must be identity based.
The concealed secure element is the EdgeLock SE052f from NXP Semiconductors. It provides and promises secure connectivity solutions for trusted security solutions.
Smartphones, bank cards and passports can also be protected by EdgeLock.
